Courage to Share Your Faith

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”— Romans 1:16 (NIV)

Devotional:

Sharing your faith can feel intimidating. Fear of rejection, misunderstanding, or saying the wrong thing often keeps people silent. But Romans 1:16 reminds us that the gospel is not something to be ashamed of—it is power, truth, and hope for everyone who believes.

Courage in faith doesn’t mean being loud or forceful. It means being willing. Willing to speak when God opens a door. Willing to live in a way that reflects Christ. Willing to trust God with the outcome, even when you don’t control the response.

A growth mindset helps us understand that courage is developed, not instant. The first time you share your faith may feel uncomfortable. You may stumble over words or second-guess yourself afterward. But growth comes through practice. Each moment of obedience builds confidence in God’s ability to work through you.

It’s also important to remember that sharing your faith is not about perfection—it’s about authenticity. People are often more affected by genuine testimony than by polished speeches. Your story, your growth, and your experience with God matter.

God does not ask you to convince everyone—He asks you to be faithful. The pressure is not on you to change hearts; that is His role. Your role is to be available and obedient.

Sometimes sharing faith looks like words. Other times it looks like kindness, patience, or consistency in how you live. Both matter.

If fear has been holding you back, start small. Ask God for opportunities. Speak when He leads. Trust Him with the results.

Courage grows each time you choose faith over fear.

Prayer:

Lord, give me courage to share my faith without fear. Help me trust You with the outcome and be faithful in how I live and speak. Strengthen my confidence and guide my words so they reflect Your truth and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
