Verse:
"You are the God who sees me." – Genesis 16:13
Devotional:
Sickness can feel lonely. When your body is hurting and people move on with their lives, it can feel like you’re invisible. But the God of heaven sees you. Just like He saw Hagar in the wilderness, tired and alone, He sees you now.
You may feel forgotten, but you are deeply known. Every ache, every sleepless night, every silent prayer—He sees it all. And He cares. Your tears are not wasted. In fact, Scripture says God collects them in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). That’s how much He treasures you.
Sometimes, just knowing you’re seen can lift your heart. You don’t have to explain yourself to Him. You don’t have to pretend you’re okay. He sees the truth and loves you still.
Let His presence be your comfort today. You are not forgotten. You are not invisible. You are held by a God who sees, understands, and never leaves.
Prayer:
God, thank You for seeing me. On days when I feel alone, remind me that You are right here. Help me to rest in Your care and to believe that I am never out of Your sight. I don’t need to be strong or perfect for You to love me. Thank You for being the God who sees and stays. Amen.
