Gratitude

Hi my name is Ciara, I struggle with multiple Chronic Health conditions.

A month ago I pushed to get more help, I went to MAYO Clinic Rochester for a 3 week Pain Rehabilitation Center.

When I started my first day was really hard, providers, not agreeing with me.

A week in I realized Having 3 things your grateful for can change your day upside down!

For you and me, there are so many days that it feels impossible to be grateful for just one thing, but if we dig deep we can Find those Three things God gave to us.

Here's an example:

My day was Hard but I was thankful I could go to the Y. The second one being able to have a community that I love. The Third Being able to eat food.

All 3 of these things I could change to be Negative, because how I was thinking.

I know that there are Going to be Hard Days

I know that Our symptoms may make us scared and skeptical

I KNOW this isn't Going to be EASY

I know all of us are going through something different and the our circumstances are unique.

I know that all of us can THINK of One positive Thing!

There are hard days but, you can distract yourself from your original thinking and have someone ask you what's one thing your grateful for? This helps change your thinking process to what you are grateful for and distracts us for a minute what we are going through!

My advice: Everyday name one thing you're grateful for. I know this will help you when you are struggling.

Love, Ciara 💕

Love this, as someone who struggles deeply with health ailments as well, I need to practice gratitude. I see my pain, and how I feel , and how i cant do what'd i used too and nothing else. I need to have a God centered view and not me centered.
