🌿 Palm Sunday Devotional: The Humble King

Scripture Focus:

“Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”

John 12:13 (NIV)

✨ Reflect: The King Who Came Gently

On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem not on a warhorse, but on a donkey. It wasn’t the kind of entrance people expected from a king—but it revealed the kind of King He is.

He came in peace. He came with purpose. He came to save.

💭 The crowds shouted, “Hosanna!”—which means “Save us!”They laid down palm branches in honor and expectation.

They were ready for political rescue. But Jesus was offering a deeper salvation—freedom from sin and eternal peace with God.

🌿 Receive: What Does Palm Sunday Mean for Us?

Palm Sunday invites us to look again at Jesus—not just as Savior, but as Lord.

  • He doesn’t always come the way we expect.

  • But He always comes in love and humility.

  • He sees our hearts, not just our hopes.

🕊️ Sometimes we want a quick fix, but Jesus brings a lasting rescue.

🙏🏽 Respond: A Simple Palm Sunday Prayer

“Lord Jesus, I welcome You as my King. Not just for what You can do, but for who You are. Teach me to follow You in humility, obedience, and love. Let this Holy Week draw my heart closer to Yours. Amen.”

💛 Today’s Heart Prompt:

Take a moment to whisper “Hosanna” today—not just as a word of praise, but as a prayer:

“Jesus, save me. Lead me. Be Lord of my life.”

As we wave the palms, may our hearts bow low. He is the King who saves, and He’s worthy of all our praise.

Blessed Palm Sunday to you. 🌿
