Verse:
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." – Isaiah 26:3
Devotional:
Pain has a way of stealing our focus. It becomes difficult to think clearly, to feel hope, and to rest. But in the middle of that pain, God offers something the world cannot give: perfect peace. This peace isn’t tied to healing or changed circumstances. It comes from trusting the One who holds all things together.
Isaiah 26:3 reminds us that peace is possible when our minds are fixed on God. Even when everything else feels like it's falling apart, you can fix your thoughts on the unchanging character of your Creator. He is faithful. He is near. And He is able.
Peace doesn’t mean you’re not in pain. It means that your heart is anchored in truth stronger than your current storm. That kind of peace guards your heart when you're waiting for healing, when you're wrestling with fear, and when the days feel overwhelming.
Trust doesn’t erase your questions, but it gives you strength to keep going. God isn’t asking you to have all the answers. He’s asking you to trust Him in the unknown.
Prayer:
Father, my pain is real, and at times it feels like too much. But I believe You are greater than what I’m going through. Help me fix my mind on You. Let Your peace fill my heart and calm the anxious thoughts that rise up. Teach me to trust You more each day. I give You my pain, and I receive Your peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
