Verse:
"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." – Galatians 6:9
Devotional:
Caring for someone who is sick is one of the most selfless acts of love. It also requires more strength than many people understand. The constant giving, worrying, managing appointments, and showing up day after day—it takes a toll. But your service matters deeply to God.
Galatians 6:9 reminds us that the good we do, even when unnoticed by others, is seen by God. And He promises a harvest to those who don’t give up. That doesn’t mean you have to be perfect. It means staying faithful, even when you’re tired.
You weren’t meant to carry this alone. God invites you to lay your burdens at His feet. He is the source of your strength. He will refresh you, sustain you, and fill the empty places where you feel worn.
So today, take a moment to breathe. You are doing holy work. And God is with you in every act of care, no matter how small it seems.
Prayer:
Lord, I am weary. Being a caregiver is both a blessing and a challenge. Sometimes I feel stretched thin. Please strengthen me. Help me to continue loving well without losing myself. Remind me that You are with me, and that You care for both the one I’m helping and for me. Thank You for the strength I find in You. Amen.
