"Hi all, my name is Aaron and I just want to say a big thank you to Amy and her beautiful ministry to bring others hope, love, and encouragement. I am honored that she asked me to be a part of her blog series Transformation Tuesday.
A little about me…I am a wife, mom of five, 20 years as a flight attendant and have been a believer since I was seven years old. I guess you could say I was one of the lucky ones to have grown up in a loving Christian home and to know of Jesus’ love for me so early in life. I can honestly say though, that my sheltered life was maybe not the best preparation for me in the real world and into adulthood. Things had always come so easily for me, so I really struggled (and still do) when things in my life didn’t turn out how I had perfectly planned them to.
Years ago when the stresses in my life seemed overwhelming (three kids under 2 years old, a husband in law school in a different state, financial uncertainties, and a crazy work schedule…) that is when my Faith in God was really tested and my relationship really grew with Him!! I was in a really dark and depressed state and I can remember being broken to the point of sobbing and crying out to God on the middle of my hotel room floor on an overnight at work. I felt like nobody else in my life would understand what I was going through and besides I was always “the happy and perfect one” and was too prideful for anyone to know my true problems and shortfalls.
During that prayer I asked God to send me someone on that trip to talk to. In that prayer I can remember thinking of 5 Christian women I had worked with in prior years that had been such an encouragement to me. I couldn’t even remember their names, but I could see their faces. I don’t even know why they came to mind… I was just so desperate for an encouraging word!!
That next day as I was on my scheduled work trip my phone from our scheduling department called me three seperate times with revised assignments…and the AMAZING thing about it was I was not even on call!! With every change in my assignment I was sent to a different plane and another crew…AND GUESS WHAT…I ended up working with 3 out of the 5 women in my prayer!!!! To this day I still can’t believe the LOVE of our Heavenly Father!!! Not only did He hear my cries for help, BUT HE already had a plan in place for me right when I needed HIM most!!! There are more than 10,000 flight attendants in my company with hundreds of plans and He already had those women in place for ME💕🙌 Praise the Lord!!!
When the plane door on the last flight opened and I saw the third lady, I just smiled with tears of joy running down my cheeks!! God hears us and he LOVES us sooo much!!! Never think He doesn’t hear you!!! We all go through Hills and Valleys…times when we feel His presence and other times we wander away and wonder why we feel so empty.
I told this same story to a gentleman I worked with just last week. With tears in his eyes, he told me it was just the encouraging word he needed to hear!! Praise the Lord!! I hope this little story may bring whoever is reading this hope too!! He is always there for us!! Talk to Him, cry to him, praise Him…I promise he hears you 💕 and He loves you!!! Let Him show you!!!"
