2/28- Transformation Tuesday
“Be transformed by the renewal of your mind…”
For about 10 years now, I’ve intentionally strived to set aside at least a few minutes a day to read a daily devotional such as this one I'm reading in the video (“Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young). Whether it’s first thing in the morning, on my lunch break, or in the evening, I know the importance of putting God first and listening to what He is trying to teach me (today’s message was especially good: Stop judging yourself, stop comparing yourself to others, and stop looking for affirmation in the wrong places).
As someone that has struggled with mental health most of my life, I value a whole-person approach to wellness. Yes, there were years of my life when I went to counseling and yes, there were also years of my life that I took medication. But for me, my spiritual health has made a tremendously positive impact on my mental health. So that’s one of the reasons I so strongly value daily time spent focusing on God. I know the HUGE difference it has made!
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”-Romans 12:2 (ESV)
