“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2 (KJV)
Discipleship is not just about personal growth—it’s about multiplication. Jesus didn’t just teach His disciples for their own benefit; He equipped them to teach others. Paul followed this same pattern, encouraging Timothy to pass on the truth to faithful men who would, in turn, disciple others.
As followers of Christ, we are called to share what we have learned. Whether through mentorship, parenting, friendship, or leadership, we are entrusted with the gospel so that it does not stop with us. True disciples make disciples.
A Call to Action
For Youth – Your testimony and faith can inspire your friends. Will you share what you’re learning in Christ with someone who needs encouragement?
For Mothers & Women – You are discipling every day—your children, friends, or younger women. Are you intentionally pouring into others, passing down wisdom and faith?
For Gentlemen & Leaders – God calls men to lead spiritually. Are you investing in others, mentoring and discipling younger believers with God’s truth?
For New Believers – You don’t have to know everything to start sharing your faith. Who in your life needs to hear about Jesus? Will you take the step to encourage and uplift someone else?
Prayer
Lord, You have called me to not only follow You but to lead others to You. Give me a heart for discipleship and the boldness to share what You have taught me. Show me someone I can pour into this week. Help me to be faithful in teaching and encouraging others, just as others have encouraged me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
This week, take action: Find one person you can mentor, encourage, or share the gospel with. It could be a friend, family member, or someone at church. Discipleship starts with one conversation.
Who will you disciple this week?
