In just one conversation with her, I personally gained intense clarity and insight and had an important "Aha!" moment in my own personal journey of mental health and healing. That is what we talk about when we say there is real POWER in partnering with God to help others.

Do "Grounding" Exercises to Help Alleviate Anxiety (as Ellen describes).

For anyone struggling with identity or self-esteem: Get rooted in your firm identity in Christ. Pick up your Bible (or go on You Tube or a Bible app on your phone) and search for verses on God's love for us and our identity in Christ. "For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. Connect with God through PRAYER.
Create a daily practice of JOURNALING to focus on developing a heart of gratitude. [The Hollis Co. has "Start Today" journals available if you would like to check them out HERE]
Find your TRIBE!!! Get a support system in place of people that can pour into you with positive encouragement. Here are some ideas to start: 1) We would love to pray for you. Not included in the recording, Ellen and I also chatted about how we enjoy getting outdoors into nature and going for walks, etc. Also remember the importance of staying physically active as well. Our physical and mental health are connected!
It also really helps me personally to listen to Christian music and to worship!

Always remember, God is in the business of making BEAUTY from ashes. When He helps us fight our battles, we fight from a place of VICTORY. He makes a way when we cannot see a way. And He will often send the right people along our path to help us. Reach out for support. We all need each other.
